| Other | Mark believes his finest sporting moments have been carrying the flag at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, and coming third in the 50m Freestyle at the 1990 Commonwealth Games - his first international medal.
According to Mark, his toughest opponent is Alex Popov, who he has never beaten in a long course event.
He says his biggest disappointment in sport was not being selected for the 2004 Olympics.
In his lengthy career, Mark has held seven world records, seven European records, nine Commonwealth records, and 18 British records.
Mark also swam in the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, winning a Bronze medal in the 4x100m Freestyle event. That makes six Commonwealth games in a row that he has won a medal in. |
