In James' career he has held one European record, 11 Commonwealth records, and 16 British records.
James says his biggest sporting disappointment was how he performed at the 2004 Olympics. He believes he didn't perform as well as he could have and it took him a long time to deal with placing sixth as he had high expectations going into the Games.
His first sporting success was becoming Essex County Champion, and he claims his finest sporting moment as becoming world champion in Barcelona.
He has done a degree in Politics and Economics and has recently completed a Masters in International Relations in the European Union.
His ultimate ambition is to win Olympic gold.
