She can lay claim to being the first Silver Fern out of Karamea, which is a remote farming community on the South Island's West Coast.
She grabbed the attention of the netball world when she moved to Otago to study a degree in physiotherapy, and came under the wing of New Zealand coaching legend Lois Muir in the Rebels' stable.
Long-limbed Anna has flourished since joining the Silver Ferns in 2002 with her exceptional elevation and hunger for the ball - which makes her a natural defender. |
