Corney was touted to feature in an individual event at the Games but failed to make the qualifying standard.
He had a solid 2005 and was New Zealand's highest ranked international points scorer.
At the Jomner North Harbour Sporting Excellence Awards in 2005, Corney picked up the Tass Print Junior Sportsman of the Year award.
Corney is second in the world for under-18 year olds behind world record holder Michael Phelps.
He trains at the Millennium Institute in Auckland. |
