Kate has completed nine national and international marathons and achieved a Commonwealth Games qualifying time of two hours and 33 minutes by finishing ninth in the Chicago Marathon in November 2005 against 45,000 competitors.
Kate, who lives and trains in Melbourne where she owns and manages a marketing consulting company, was a female distance champion and athletics captain at Kinross Wolaroi School, but started long distance running while a student at Orange Public School.
Most of Kate's early training was in the native bushland and bridal paths of Clifton Grove rural subdivision where her parents, Janelle and David Harris, still live. |
