Scottish duo, Euan Dale and
David Carry, celebrate their
silver and gold wins.
Scotland’s David Carry has won gold and set a new Games record in the Men’s 400m Individual Medley (IM) with a time of 4:15.98 with his team mate Euan Dale in second in 4:17.15 and Australia’s Travis Nederpelt in third in 4:17.24.
Carry has a busy schedule for the Games with his events including the 200m Freestyle, 400m Freestyle, 200m IM, 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay and the 4 x 200m Freestyle Relay.
Earlier this evening, Simon Burnett of England won the Men's 100m Freestyle Final in a time of 48.57. South African Ryk Neethling swam a time of 49.2 picking up the silver and his compatriot Roland Schoeman came in third to claim bronze in 49.24.
Burnett won the event by half a length after pulling away at the turn.
A student from Oxfordshire in England, Burnett was the fastest qualifier for the Final with a time of 49.19 seconds and has already won a silver in the 200m Freestyle at the Games.
